Kid's Meditation & Yoga Camp 2010

Kids experience stress and emotional challenges in school, in social lives and home. Meditation technique can help kids learn how to calm their minds, develop concentration and deal with emotions more skillfully.

By calming your mind through a meditation practice and the simple moves of yoga, anyone of any generation can bring harmony to their body, mind, and spirit. These quite activities help promote health, better concentration, progress in studies and success in other activities.

If you would like to help your child learn a new approach to addressing life's difficulties, while having some low-tech fun this summer, please join us for the kids' meditation and yoga camp.

Children are encouraged to bring an adult with them - moms, dads, grand parents, aunts, uncles - everyone is welcome to learn together. This unique camp is an enjoyable day that will create opportunities for further interaction later as families can practice together the new techniques they have learned.

Date: Sunday, July 11th 2010
Time: 2 - 5 p.m. (snack and drinks provided)

Program:
  • Meditation: Universal, non-religious practice to focus the mind
  • Yoga: Body and mind relaxation technique
  • Peace art: Learn and enjoy coloring Mandala art
  • Snack: snack and drinks provided
  • Movie: Watch a movie about life history of Buddha
  • Attire: Please wear comfortable, stretchy clothes
Suggested Donation: $25 single - $40 for 2 children - $50 Family - Scholarships available
